Games | Assault Cube

Assault Cube is a first person shooter game. I don't play with the bots because bots are not that good. My name is Gurkha[NEP] in the game but as far I have joined a clan Far Shot Clan, I call myself as {FsC}Gurkha. I play its mostly online with lots of unknown people who might be a kid or may be a professional playing games for lots of years. I first played this game on Linux Ubuntu. Since its Open Source Linux adopted this game and I started playing this.

There are lots of clan, and each of them have a different servers. I mostly play in the map "ac_desert" with mode "team one shot one kill" cause its fun in that map and lots of people come to play on that map. Since making server for its is very easy and finding and connecting to server is so quick that everyone loves to play it online. We need a ping time i.e. Latency less than 500 with server to play this game. If it is higher than this, its very hard to play the game cause getting and sending very low amount of data in a second can cause disturbances in the game, so you get kicked. Since I am in Nepal, having a Internet speed of 512 is a great feeling but for playing this game I still need to pause all the download to adjust my ping time about "200-400".
Since the game is Open source, people get the code of it and they recompile the game by making some sort of changes which makes the game more vulnerable. This leads the gamer to hacker. There are different types of hacker in this game like Walking through walls, speed hacking, flying and more.
This game works fine on all the OS Windows, Linux and Mac. But I haven't tried that yet on Mac.

Some simple techniques that might help you:

Increasing the field view:
Goto the video setting and increase the field of view. Why do I do that? Try the game on high field of view and then try the game on low field of view and see the difference. You will find that game with high field of view will be fast and you will be playing good but with low field of view the game looks slow and you will be playing bad. But you might be thinking fast games will be more difficult than the slower games but I say no because having the high field of view enables you to view every position and let you mouse move fast in the same case but when its goes with the low field of view, the game goes slower and mouse movement also goes slower to reach someone that may or may not be on your sight.

Change your team:
Type "/team CLA" or "/team RVSF" to change your team. But this works only if your team has 1 member greater than the another team.

Simple vote:
What if a hacker coming in and out in the game and changing his name in the game? Its pretty hard to kick someone like that. So remember the player number. Like if the hacker got his player number "1" the type "/kick 1" and then he will be ready to be kicked. Moreover normally you yourself cannot be kicked but with the command line you can kick yourself.
Vote for yourself to change team: "/forceteam [number]"
